Back Mountain Residents Star in The Great American Trailer Park Musical |
|
Back Mountain residents, Amanda Reese and Jennifer Rogers, star in The Great American Trailer Park Musical at The Music Box Dinner Playhouse on April 9th and continuing through April 25th. Frequently compared to both TV’s "Desperate Housewives" and theater’s "The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas," this funny, sexy, bawdy, R-rated musical tale is seasoned with a murderous ex-boyfriend, an electric chair, the Ice Capades, and a gorgeous stripper on the run who comes between a Sally Jessy loving agoraphobic housewife and her love starved, dim-witted husband. |

The Back Mountain is Alive with the Sound of Music |
Really Cooking Café & Supper Club has teamed up with the Little Theatre Repertory Group, an off shoot of The Little Theatre of Wilkes-Barre, to hold a Cabaret each month. These shows occur on Sunday evenings starting at 5 pm and give our local performers a stage to showcase their talent. There is a $15 cover charge along with the cost of dinner. The entire cover charge goes directly to the Little Theatre of Wilkes-Barre. The theatre has been opened since 1922 and has been organized as a not-for-profit group since 1929. A hidden gem of the area, not many people know that the theatre is the third oldest continuously running theatre in the country and is ranked in the top 10 best little theatres.
According to George Creel and Gregory Allen, the owners of Really Cooking Café & Supper Club, each of the Cabaret evenings will be full of fun and great music that will keep you humming all week. For more information, go to www.reallycookingcafe.com or www.ltwb.org.
